Schedule posted!
Welcome!
Hello all new masterstudents! Im Malin Östman, responsible for two courses that are part of the masters in Sustainable Development. On this page information about the CEMUS courses will be posted. If you have any general questions concerning the MSD-programme please turn to Brita Svensson or Karin Gerhardt who are the programme coordinators.
I will soon post more information on this page, but I thought it would be good for you to know the course litterature for the Worldviews and Visions course now so you can buy or order it.
This fall we will be reading (more books and articles might be added):
Randers Jorgen, 2052 - A Global Forecast for the Next Forty Years
Sachs Wolfgang, Planet Dialectics
Im looking forward to seeing you soon!
/Malin
Thank you!
...for a great year!
Thank you also for your contributions to the Role Play - I have now posted the draft from the task force. Good job everyone!
Sascha Gabizon lecture
Sascha will lecture for us on the evening of May 21st, from 17.00 (sharp!) for about an hour.
She will be with us via videolink and we will be in room Betty Pettersson at Blåsenhus. This time is unfortunatley the only time that worked for us. As I understand it you have other classes that day, but end in time to make it until 17.
Since this event has been moved around I will not make it a mandatory lecture. However, Im very happy if as many as possible attend since I think it will be very interesting. If you cant attend please e-mail be beforehand so I know how many people I can expect are missing.
Kind regards,
Malin

Now you can find both the Extra Task for April 27th and some documents from Bo Kjellén that you preferably should look at before the 16th posted here.
I look forward to reading your assignments relating to the book Dawn over the Kalahari!
Kind regards/ Malin
Conference and Sustainability Month
As you have seen, there is now a lot of interesting information about the Cemus conference at www.uppsalaconference.se
Both the thursday and friday are mandatory for you, I can not check where you are every minute though, also this is supposed to be an interesting opportunity for you as students, and not only a way for me to check attendance...
Therefore Im going to trust you are there as long as you dont tell me otherwise and as long as you dont give me any reason to suspect you are not. If you think you will miss anything, please e-mail me. Feel free to attend any workshops etc. you like.
Soon, if you have not gotten it already, you should also be getting an e-mail from the organizers of the conference. If you have not recieved any such e-mail a week or so before the conference, please contact them to make sure you are registered.
There wont be any lunch included due to budget priorities (although plenty of time for you to get your own lunch:-) But its still important they know you are attending.
The conference is actually part of The Uppsala Sustainability Month. So there is really a lot of interesting stuff to do and see! For more information about the month go to:
