Information for Monday’s seminar at Flogsta Food
On Monday afternoon we will be having our second seminar, outside in Flogsta Food. Here is a map:
We will be taking two seperate groups, one by bike and one by foot, each leaving Blåsenhus around 12:00. If you cannot make it to the morning lecture and need to meet us there, please arrive by 13:00. If you want to take the bus, take bus #2 or 5 to Flogsta Centrum. Walk towards the three-story red brick houses. Behind house #81 is the garden.
The compulsory part of the seminar consists of a tour of Flogsta Food and Q&A, followed by a group discussion. Afterwards we will work practically in the garden - this part is not compulsory, though highly recommended.
So wear some clothes which are suitable for gardening and potentially poor weather and bring something to the fika if you wish.

Week 4 info
Monday, August 5; 10:15-14:00
The project supervision will take place at Flogsta Food. Come by with any questions you may have about assignment part B, your designs, first drafts, etc. Alternatively, just show up to hang out, meet your classmates and help out in the garden.
Tuesday, August 6; 10:15-
Our buddy Martin Rydberg Hedén is back to talk to us about preserving food. Each person who comes will get the chance to make their own fermented veggies to bring home, so don't miss it. The lecture will be held at Valegården. Also, bring food to share so we can have a pot-luck lunch. After lunch we will continue our work in the garden at Valegården.
Wednesday, August 7; 10:15-12:00
Author and permaculture designer Patrick Whitefield will be with us via skype. Patrick will introduce himself and his work briefly, after which we have the honor to ask all the questions our hearts desire. Make sure you come ready with questions for Patrick about gardening, financial permaculture, farm-scale design, etc. Take advantage of this chance! After lunch feel free to stay to watch the documentaries How Cuba Survived Peak Oil and Farming With Nature.
Tuesday lecture and Wednesday field trip
Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that Tuesday's lecture will be in the Uppsala Learning Lab (hus 21:241, Blasenhus), and it starts at 10.00 sharp, not 10.15. Please remember also to do the pre-task for Seminar 2 beforehand.
On Wednesday we go to Stockholm for the field trip. The bus will depart from Geocentrum at 8.00 sharp! Our very nice bus driver Peter will provide a (free) light breakfast. Bring your bathing suit and also your rain gear - the weather could go either way. We should be back in Uppsala for around 17.30, and afterwards we will go to Upplands Nation for anyone who wants to join.
If anyone is meeting us in Stockholm at the first site, the address is Källtorps trädgård, Ältavägen 105, 13133 Nacka.
