Study visit to Hågaby – practical info

Hej everyone!

Here is some information regarding our study visit to Hågaby this Sunday. During this visit we will look at how Hågaby’s community is trying to implement principles of Sustainable Development in everyday life. We had to move the visit to a bit later in the afternoon and therefore the schedule now looks like this:

13.45 – 14.00: Meet at Kulturoasen, we will have fika here and enjoy a concert until 15.00
15.00 – 16.00: Walk around Hågaby, guided by Prof. Per Berg
16.00 – 17.00: Discussion and debates in the community center with Prof. Per Berg and Per Hulten

It would be a lot of fun if you could join us for fika and the concert, however it is also OK if you only drop in for the tour and discussion part. The tour starts at Kulturoasen at 15.00, so make sure that you will be there on time.

You probably have already noticed that the beautiful Swedish fall has started. It might rain again on Sunday, so make sure you have your raincoat/umbrella with you!

For directions to Kulturoasen:
By bike/foot: Hågaby is located just past Flogsta to the west of Uppsala, it's easy to get to by bicycle or walking. It's best if you have a look yourself using the online maping tools such as Google Maps for the best route from where you are. We'll be leaving by bicycle from ICA Väst (Flogsta) at 13:30 and you are welcome to join us and cycle together.
By bus: Take a Stadsbuss No.6 (the green ones) towards Hågaby. The bus stop is the one near Presbyrån in Storatorget (the main square). The journey should take around 20 minutes and buses leave every 20 minutes (13:25, 13:45, 14:05...).

We hope to see you all on Sunday!
Ben and Heleen
